College Sport at the University of York has over 2000 students playing each week. There are fifteen different sports on offer and colleges often have several teams, offering players an extensive range of opportunities to get involved!
College sport is open for anyone, whether it's your first time playing, or your tenth year of the sport. Everyone is encouraged to join their college team, regardless of ability or experience.

Get Involved!
To get involved in college sport you'll need a College Sport Membership. For future matches or results of your college matches, check the colleges section. Check with your college's social media or student committee for details of your own college's training times and captain's details. They are always happy to welcome new faces!
Competitions
The College Sport Championship is awarded to the college that secures the most points from across all of its sport teams in the academic year. This means every league position counts for your college!
The university also offers two competitions besides the leagues: College Cup and College Varsity.
Taking place in Term 3 annually, the College Cup is a competition apart from the regular league. It offers teams that may not regularly play each other the chance to compete at several sports, with fixtures fitting around exams.
College Varsity sees the best York teams go head-to-head with Durham colleges for the title of College Varsity Champions!
